Guide for New Associates

The CollegeJournal has published a few short excerpts from The Curmudgeon's Guide to Practicing Law by Jones Day litigation partner Mark Herrmann. I haven't read the book, but the reviewer describes the book as "a well-written and clear guide on how to be an effective law-firm associate. It's also funny." The excerpts do reveal an acerbic wit and provide cogent advice for new attorneys along with insight for those contemplating a career as a lawyer.
